Individuals and congregations become involved with public education advocacy for different reasons. There are many ways to lead and teach ongoing advocacy, including learning about the Biblical, theological and faith foundations for advocacy, as well as the faith practices that support it. The South Carolina Bishops’ Public Education Initiative has assembled resources for individuals, groups and congregations to explore advocacy that is rooted in baptism through worship, education and action. The Rev. Susan Heath will come to your ministry location to lead discernment, discussion and help you to participate with your schools and help your advocacy ministry with your community.
